A Thorough, Engaging, and Timely Process
Our Proposal Process for Custom Automation Systems
At AAE North America, we make the process of scoping and estimating industrial automation projects as straightforward as possible. Depending on system complexity, the scoping and proposal process typically takes 2–4 weeks.
Automation Project Evaluation
We begin by evaluating your manufacturing challenge to ensure we are the right fit. Our engineering and sales teams assess technical feasibility, ROI potential, production goals, and project requirements to determine whether we can deliver the best solution.
Concept Development & Machine Proposal
Our team gathers all necessary information—including production rate, quality requirements, part specifications, and functional objectives—to develop an initial automation concept.
We then prepare a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimate to validate feasibility and alignment with budget expectations.
After reviewing the concept with your team, we prepare a detailed proposal that includes:
Finalized machine concept
Project schedule
Detailed pricing
Terms and deliverables
Project Kickoff & Engineering Approach
Once approved, a project kickoff meeting is held with your team and the AAE North America project manager. We review project requirements, exchange technical details, confirm milestones, and align all stakeholders on expectations.
Machine Design & Build Phase
During the Design-Build Phase, our project manager oversees:
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Controls design & programming
Component procurement
System fabrication and assembly
This phase turns your approved concept into a fully engineered automation system.
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) & Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Every system undergoes comprehensive testing before shipment.
FAT is performed at AAE North America with your team to verify functionality, performance, and compliance.
After installation at your facility, we perform SAT to finalize acceptance and transition the system into production.
Post-Installation Support
Following installation, we provide:
Full engineering documentation
Operator training
Maintenance manuals
Warranty support
This ensures your system continues to operate reliably and efficiently for years to come.
